PORT ARTHUR — Port Arthur police are investigating an auto-pedestrian accident.
The accident occurred in the 900 block of Ninth Avenue around 8:20 p.m.
Police say a homeless person was pushing a cart containing his belongings when he was struck by a vehicle.
The victim was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The vehicle that hit the person fled the scene. The 900 block of Ninth Avenue is now closed for investigation.
