The Lehigh Valley Auto Show is finally making its return after being canceled the previous two years.
Tuesday, the Greater Lehigh Valley Auto Dealers held a preview for the media of its 2022 Auto Show, “Leading the charge - Find to what’s electrifying the auto industry,” at Lehigh University’s Stabler Arena.
Tom Kwiatek, executive director of Greater Lehigh Valley Auto Dealers Association, said the show will be highlight and show the importance of Electrification Statius to promote electric vehicles and help patrons understand all the changing operations.
The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will also exhibit its plans for charging stations on state highways.
A small number of the latest cars were on display from a number of the dealers in the Lehigh Valley for the preview.
Among the 2022 models aseen during the preview were: the Chevrolet Corvette Convertible 3LT with Z71 performance package, Alfa Romero Stelvio Veloce, Lincoln Aviator, Mercedes Benz EQS, Volvo C 40 Recharge and Audi S 7, just to name a few.
This year’s auto show will be held at Lehigh University’s Goodman Campus from March 16-20.
It will feature 225 of the latests cars, trucks, SUVs, crossovers, vans and motorcycles in three venues on campus. Stabler Athletic and Conference Center, Rauch Fieldhouse and Goodman Hall.
Normally an evening preview fundraising gala is held, but that won’t happen this year. Instead, for the first time in the auto show’s history, the show will take place over five days, and hours will be expanded to accommodate more people.
The shows hours are 5-9 p.m. Wednesday, 9 a.m.-9 p.m. Thursday through Saturday, and 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday. Parking for the event is free.
All ticket sales for the auto show will be online only. Online prices are: $12 for adults, $10 for seniors (55 +), $8 for children (6-14), and $30 for a family four-pack. Children five and under are free. For tickets go to www.glvada.org.
As of now, everyone in attendance will have to wear a face mask at all times in accordance with Lehigh University’s safety policy. An announcement will be made if any changes to that policy takes place.
